Greetings Orange Brook Elementary Families,

My name is Jerelle Owens, and I am honored to introduce myself as the proud new principal of Orange Brook Elementary. I am absolutely thrilled to join this vibrant school community and look forward to the incredible journey we will embark on together.

I commit to leading with empathy, courage, and a relentless determination to overcome any obstacle in pursuit of excellence. At the heart of my leadership is a strong belief that every child deserves a champion, someone who believes in them, challenges them, and supports their growth every step of the way.

As a parent of children attending schools within the McArthur Innovation Zone, I share your belief that our schools are among the very best. I deeply value the power of community and understand the trust families place in their schools. I am excited to build authentic, meaningful relationships with each of you as we work together to ensure that every student reaches their full academic, social, and emotional potential.

Our school theme for the 2025–2026 school year is "Bright Minds, Big Dreams, Bold Performances!" This theme reflects our commitment to cultivating brilliance, inspiring ambition, and celebrating every achievement along the way. Beloved Orange Brook Families,

Orange Brook is a very special place...a place where the staff and parents believe in working together to help our students achieve their personal best! My experience here at Orange Brook has been amazing! It has been filled with hard work and a massive learning experience for all.

The students here bring joy and happiness to our school. We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children at Orange Brook Elementary. I refer to them as "my kids" because I think of each one of them as my own. They touch my life and this school by their presence on a daily basis.

Having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to develop formidable relationships, to work collaboratively and to continue the legacy of success established by Orange Brook Elementary School. It is my honor to serve as the Math Coach at Orange Brook Elementary. It is my mission to be a constant support to not only the faculty and staff, but to the students, parents and the community, as well. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise a child; therefore, your children are my priority. Their academic success is very important to me, as I know this is key to developing into confident, successful, and conducive members of society. Math is a life skill that students will need in all aspects of their lives, and it is my responsibility to provide them with the resources and manipulatives needed to prepare them for a lifetime of figuring things out using mathematical skills gained during this crucial time of their childhood. Working together with our families, failure is not an option. I truly believe that school + Home = success!

Serving as your School Advisory Council (SAC) Chairperson, it is my pleasure to facilitate the development and monitor progress of the annual School Improvement Plan. I encourage parents, guardians, community members, business owners, and other stakeholders to attend our monthly meetings and let their voices be heard. Please check our website for dates and times.

I’m honored to serve as the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist at Orange Brook Elementary. Supporting your children and being part of their educational journey is a privilege I hold close to my heart.

My role focuses on ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed. I work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to develop Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Gifted Educational Plans (EPs) tailored to each child’s unique strengths, needs, and learning style.

Your child’s success is my top priority. I am committed to providing high-quality support and advocating for the best possible outcomes. I welcome your questions, concerns, and collaboration—open communication is key to our shared success.
